What's goin' on...

Not too much of anything, but enough to keep me away from my precious blog!

In my last post, I shared my ability to raise my voice to my son (and my inability to see others doing the same to their own children) and how frustrated I had been lately with his behavior.  I am happy to report that things are back on track again.  I honestly think that it was his stubborn attitude to go #2 on the toilet that had him all worked up and impatient about everything.  He sensed my stress from it, I sensed his...and it was just a mess!  All's good now.  I'm happy to sat that we now have a completely happy, well potty trained, little boy!  And to prove it...well, this picture speaks for itself...

Thanks Amma, for the extra large sucker that Owen recieved for pooping on the potty.  You should know that he got completely frustrated and impatient with it's enormous size and begged for me to take it away.  He wanted to eat it, he really did, but he just couldn't get through it.  The fact that it was the size of his face was very intimidating to him.  He held it just long enough so I could click a picture of him holding it but that was about the extent of it.  I think his hand would have fallen off by the end of the day had he continued to lick it and hold it.  Not to mention the sugar high he'd probably still be coming down from.

We're potty trained.  We're feelin' good!

Did I ever mention what a nice Easter we had?  I don't think I did.  I was so bent out of shape about Owen's terrible 3's that I had barely enough time to reflect on the blessing of Easter!  We did have a lovely Easter.  Decorating eggs, a wonderful church service, hunting for eggs in our yard, blowing bubbles, and dinner at my mom's.   A few Easter pics...

I am super excited about something coming up in June.  I signed up for the I Faces Photo Walk Across America!  Along with my friend Stephanie, I will be going into Chicago to meet up with some other avid photographers to take in the sights of the big city and photograph them.  There are 20 cities participating in the photo walk on June 5th.  I'm really excited that they have one for Chicago!  Boybarian Dad is our 'leader' (take me to your leader...sorry, couldn't help it!) and will be taking us around the city for a photographic adventure.  I've never been on a photo walk (outside of my own front yard) but have always wanted to.  I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try.  A day in the big city, with a great friend, meeting new people, seeing things at a different angle, taking pictures...it should be a lot of fun!!!
